Just a short hour and a half drive from my home to Milledgeville, Georgia, nestled in the quiet serenity of towering oaks and pine trees, sits a cabin. Not just any cabin, but the cabin that my family turns to when summer hits us full force with hot days and lazy nights. Surrounded on three sides by the glassy stare of Lake Sinclair, our cabin sits high atop a steep hill of red Georgia clay. Every summer my entire family and I visit the cabin. We are usually followed by many more family members until the ordinarily quiet little cabin is bursting with talk and laughter. The cabin is a haven for our family. It is a �treasure chest� of memories of the past and hopes for the future. It is quiet and away from the world. My friends wonder how we are able to spend weeks there with no satellite, cable or even a television, but there is always something constantly going on in the cabin or on the lake that keeps us more than occupied.
