After read the story Survival at sea written by Ariane Randall, I think that there are many things that are very important when one is in the trouble, such as enough saving equipments, pure water and food, the skills of tell direction, strong wish to life and confident to be survival.
From the story, I find when Anna noticed the small plane had been running out of gas, they started looking desperately for their life jackets behind and under the seat. Unlucky, they only found two life jackets, that was to say that there are three people had no life jackets. I think if they have enough saving equipments, maybe all of them, include the pilot, Delia Clarke and Anna Rivera would be survival.
When one is in trouble, for example his plane or ship is wrong at sea, he will be survival on same extent, if he have pure water and food. He can wait for saving. Of course, he can have enough strength to go over the trouble. The skills of tell direction is very important, too. If he work hard for the wrong direction, it will bright him to the death.
