It is also considered to quite possibly be the most enduring and majestic of Michaelangelo�s paintings. The creation of Adam is a magnificently fresco style painting, which is just one of the 300 of so figures adorning more than 5800 square feet of St Peter�s Sistine Chapel ceiling. Despite having to work alone, lying atop a high scaffold and working with a medium that he didn�t particularly care for, Michaelangelo created such a masterpiece that had never before and has never since been portrayed with quite the same intensity and vitality as that of which �the creation of Adam� renders.
