One president, however, took his individuality to an entire new level. His hatred towards Native Americans and extreme thirst for absolute power has made him possibly one of the worst presidents in our history. He believed that he was above the authority or checks and balances, and did not have to follow the rules and precedents set by his predecessors. Rating Andrew Jackson�s presidency on a scale of one to ten, he deserved a three because of his decisions economically, militarily, and politically. Andrew Jackson�s decision to sabotage the national bank seriously hurt the economy in America. It lead to the Panic of 1837, and brought up a major debate about the value of soft versus hard currency. He even stated, �The bank is trying to kill me, but I will kill it.� (www.whitehouse.gov) When South Carolina tried to nullify and ridiculously high tariff, Jackson ordered armed forces to stop it and secretly threaten to have John C.
