Marijuana has been a heated topic for the past forty years. In 1969 the Woodstock festival ignited the marijuana craze. Although marijuana is illegal, vast majorities of people still choose to use it; in fact George J. Annas believes that 65 million people have experimented with cannabis (120). When you look at legal substances such as cigarettes and alcohol, marijuana results in fewer deaths by far. Smoking kills hundreds of thousands of people every year some of which don�t even smoke, yet it is legal to obtain. Marijuana should be made legal, but with regulations. Marijuana policies must be put on cannabis to keep safety among the public. Marijuana has become a common thing in this country and if we apply rules to it accordingly, it can be used to benefit society as a whole. Marijuana should be made legal to benefit the general public. Marijuana is a light drug and cannot result in death. According to George J. Annas, Drug Enforcement Agent Judge Young explains that a lethal dose of marijuana is basically impossible. It would mean over the span of 15 minutes - smoking 1500 lbs ......
