Harry is a young man who grew up in Brooklyn and got into drugs as he grew up. Harry and his best friend Tyrone Love join in at a party where Harry meets Marion. While at the party, Harry falls in love with the young lady. Harrys mother, Sarah, is a misrable old woman and a little over weight. One day while she was at home, she recieves a phone call from a television show. The show said that she has a chance to be on the show. As Sara finds this out, she begins to take speed, to lose weight that she doesnt want so she is able to fit into a red dress that she bought. Harry and Marion begin to plan their life together. While they are planning ahead, Harry, Tyrone, and Marion are all addicted to herion. As things get better for Harry and Tyrone, they lose it all to their addictions. They start using the money they make, to buy drugs, so none of the bills are paid. Due to the speed Sara is taking, she goes insane and is placed into a mental hospital.
