Many people think that special education teachers just sit around and �baby-sit� because the students with different abilities never grow out of being childish. That, though, is not at all true. I believe people will always have wonderful traits, but they will never be the same; therefore, no matter what ability a person has he or she can always grow and learn. This takes me to the babysitting statement again: to me a special needs teacher has the hardest job of all. He or she has to find the best and pull it out of the students. Then that teacher has to teach them how to use it to the best of their ability. In my past experiences, I have come to realize that I work well with students that have different abilities and special needs. I look at all people as individuals, and not as though they are on different levels. Working with the special needs students at my school has furthered my interest in becoming a special needs teacher. I hope to become a special education teacher someday.
