Introduction The George Bush administration has taken a lot of heat from the war on terrorism. This war, which is not actually a war but rather a conflict, is one that was started long before George W. Bush ever took office. George W. Bush has had very strong values and beliefs towards foreign policy from the very beginning of his presidency. He also has set specific domestic policies, in which he continues to push, all the while struggling with his approval ratings and the war in Iraq. Foreign Policy Bush's foreign policy campaign platform supported a stronger economic and political relationship with Latin America, especially Mexico, and reduced involvement in nation-building and other minor military engagements indirectly related to U.S. interests. However, after the September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attacks, also known as the 9/11 attacks, the State Department drastically changed its primary focus towards the Middle East.
