Running Head: SIMPLIFYING STAGE SETUP USING ONBOARD EFFECTS Simplifying stage setup using an onboard effects processor Bill Smith Monroe Tricentral High School Abstract This project proposes the idea of inserting an effects-processor into an electric guitar. This would be done to simplify stage setup and eliminate the many wires and complicated connections required for conventional effects equipment. The success of the experiment will be measured by reviewing surveys of five renowned guitarists after they play each of the different designs. The project will require a sound studio, a sound crew, a lab technician, and additional equipment described in the budget. The final goal of this proposal is to create a product that offers good value for the money, a product that attracts professional as well as amateur musicians, and a product that is profitable.
