There are many eighteenth century scientists who have influenced the scientists of this nation. A scientist by the name of Benjamin Franklin was an American diplomat who was very aware of revolutionary thinking that was going on during this time. There were many scientists that have influenced Benjamin Franklin.
Particularly Michael Faraday is one of the many scientists that have influenced Benjamin Franklin. Around the 1800’s scientists knew a couple of basic facts about electricity. They were conscious that it could be static or flow in a current, and that it had a positive or negative charge. But they did not understand what electricity was. Michael Faraday was a chemist and physicist. He went to lectures at the Royal Institution witch is a scientific organization in London.
A famous chemist gave the lectures by the name of Humphry Davy. Davy’s lectures are what made Michael interested in learning about physics and inspired him to become a chemist and physicists.
