ALICE WALKER Alice Walker is a famous poet. Most known for the book �color purple.� Alice Walker volunteered in many ways. She was criticized in the movie �color purple.� Alice Walker love writing about black women and her experiences from the civil rights movement inspired her to write. Alice walker was born February 9, 1944to Willie lee and Minnie Lou grant walker who were sharecropper. When she a child a terrible accident left her blind in one of her eye.
