Pearl Harbor On December 7,1941 at 7:53 a.m. on Sunday morning, the world had changed. The Japanese dropped a bomb at Pearl Harbor and destroyed many ships, planes, buildings and also killing thousands of people. They continued in the process of firing. At 8:55 a.m. another bomb was dropped destroying even more people and destroying many planes and ships. The Japanese used two types of planes which were the Standard Fighter and the Bomber both of these planes were very effective. The Japanese ended up destroying 18 ships altogether. The fight is remembered as the �Sneak Attack� since we had no warning or indication that they were coming. The Japanese ended up killing about ten million American soldiers altogether. Our soldiers ended up shooting twenty-nine Japanese planes down but it wasn�t enough to stop them. After the attack President Franklin D. Roosevelt was in office and immediately took action on December 8, 1941 the president declared war on the Japanese. We killed over one-hundred thousand Japanese ....
