It was first identified more than fifty years ago, and it is usually diagnosed by the age of three. Autism affects people of every different racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds” (1). Having autism affects a person’s entire life, including the lives of everyone around him or her. Throughout history, there have been many people who have showed behaviors that resemble autism, which go back to the 18th century. “The term autism was, for years, only used in some circles of psychiatrists and psychologists.
