The day began just like any other day in Iraq. I got down from the top bunk of the bed stretched and shook my head trying to wake myself up. I started putting on as I picked up my top dust flowed off of it like it had just sat there for years. I finished getting dressed and walked towards the door; with every step towards the door I could feel the heat of the day on my face. I opened the door and heat rushed over my body like someone turned on a huge blow dryer. As I walked towards the johns the thought of home swept over my mind, I couldn�t wait to leave this living Hell. Little did I know that day someone wouldn�t see the day we left. It was time to start getting ready for the daily patrol in our section of the city of Al Rhamdi. In my platoon we had four Hum-vees, we had to setup for the mission we went on.
