I watched the BBC version of Jane Eyre movie for my second text. The title of the book is the name of the main character of the book. This story is retrospective, told ten years after all of this happened. It tells the reader about the life of Jane Eyre � from when she was a child, living with her Aunt, Mrs Reed and her three children, Georgina, Eliza and John until after she married Mr Rochester and everything in between. Like in Sixty Lights, Jane lived an ordinary life. What she had seen and done was not considered extraordinary but rather common to a woman of her social standing. The main quest in Jane Eyre is her search for her kindred spirits, for a sense of belonging and love, but her search is constantly diverted by her need for independence. This movie was made in 1983, set in the 19th Century. It is a very long movie, at 238 minutes long. It was origionally made as an 11 part mini-series for the BBC, however on the video that I watched there was no evidence of it ever having been separated into episodes. There were no pauses in between what would have been episode ....
