Manipulation Throughout Ender’s Game, by Orson Scott Card, characters tend to manipulate others, mainly Ender himself. Ender is the third in a family of child geniuses, he is selected by international military forces to save the world from destruction. Since ender is supposed to save the world from destruction, he is constantly being manipulated to do things, both positive and negative. Valentine is Ender's older sister and is the only person in the world who truly loves him, therefore she tends to positively manipulates him into things he may not want to do.
