Born In Rochester, Michigan on February 29, 1956 Aileen Carol Pittman was doomed from the start. Aileen�s mother, Diane Wuornos, was an unfit teen mother who was married to a psychopathic child molester Leo Dale Pittman at age 15. Together Diane and Leo had two children. They soon found that they were unable to take care of them. Diane left her children with her parents and took off. As for Leo, Aileen never came to know him. Soon after he was incarcerated he hung himself in jail. When Aileen was four years old she and her older brother Keith were adopted by there grandparents and raised with their other children. Unfortunately, both grandparents were abusive from the start; they seemed to go from one bad situation to another. Lauri, the grandfather, was physically abusive when intoxicated and Britta was also an alcoholic.
