Since I have been doing this smoke ban project, I have learned some interesting fact about my family smoking history. When I was borned, my father quit smoking because I would not let him hold me or sit with him if he had a cigarette going. He went through programs that consisted of making the rounds of lung cancer hospice with the attending physicians, and attending the autopsies of people who died while he was there. He told me about a particular emaciated living skeleton of a man who sucked smoke through his trachotomy tube. My father went to the auopsy and said the man�s lungs looked like a ouple of deflated black ballons stuffed with marbles. It was disgusting. I personally have allergic to cigarette smoke. I have eyes and nose irritation every time I am around smokers. Later as I grew up and learned more about smoke, I refused to socialize with people who smoke, due to the comvination of noxious fumes and the pity I felt when I realized that they were powerlessly trapped by their addiciton.
