Before watching the video or reading the text, my thoughts of Psychology was having knowledge of human behavior, and being able to analyze what people do, how they react to certain things, and how their emotions affect the things they do. I never thought of Psychology as a real or provable science, but just as an understanding or type of philosophy. I would have never assumed the complexity it carries or considered all the five perspectives as the text explains in present Psychology. Two instances which are new to me are first, as I just mentioned, the five different ways of explaining why people do what they do. We learned the different perspectives which include: biological perspective, learning perspective, cognitive perspective, sociocultural perspective, and psychodynamic perspective. I find it intriguing that there are so many different ways at analyzing why someone does a certain thing. As the text tells us, every perspective will all share different insights on a behavior, anything from external forces, to inner emotions, to perceptions. The second instance which....
