News Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
The news. The news is a very different media, if you look into it most people think well duh the news its just people reporting to use facts and what has gone on. But sometimes the news takes big topics and blows them out of proportion for their own personal gain. And there is no law behind ethics, maybe there should be, but we will never see it.
What I get out of ethics in news is that they (being the news personnel) take things and blow it up and hurt some people in the process. We watched two movies in class dealing with ethics in the media both of which gave some good examples of how the news takes things and does whatever they want with it regardless of what others think or believe just to get better ratings, sure thats good for them but is it good for the people they hurt or for their own conscious? No I dont think so but thats just me. Those two movies News at 11 and Broadcast News did show how evil the news corporation can really be. I think that it is just mad and crazy how some of the things they did like for example trying to tape the young girl ......
