Thomas Alva Edison was born on February 11, 1847, in Milan, Ohio, the youngest of seven children. After loosing his hearing from scarlet fever at a young age, Edison was able to concentrate on thinking and learning. At the age of seven he was taken out of school after many of his teachers lost patience with his persistent questioning and self centered behavior. From there Edison was creating in the fields of newspapers to the fields of the world renowned inventions like the phonograph, the incandescent light bulb, the kinetiscope and more. From a child to an adult not only has Thomas Edison been an American hero, but a world hero by making tremendous changes in history for years to come. "...
