How did the Tsar survive the 1905 revolution?
In this essay I will be discussing how the Tsar managed to survive the 1905 revolution. The points I have chosen will include; that he gave in and compromised with the liberals through the October manifesto, that there was no leadership in the revolution, different aims of the different aims, the church and peasants still supporting the Tsar, the peace treaty with Japan and the financial assistance to the peasants.
I believe the one reason the Tsar survived the 1905 revolution was the peace he made with Japan I think this is because the army morale and families of the armies were starting to fight against the Tsar and by doing this it meant the remaining army he still controlled helped largely by stamping out all small rise ups in the countryside and kept his country at bay for many years.
Another big reason is that the Tsar survived the revolution by producing the October manifesto this is because he showed support for one of the larger groups in the revolution and in doing so settling the revolution down. The liberals the g......
