Contrast Paper Emily Dickinson and Abigail Adams Throughout many years of human history, many women have been forgotten because they were afraid to express themselves, afraid to participate in social and cultural changes and even more afraid of challenging the “code of laws” that made them appear inferior to men. In the following essay I will contrast two very different characters, that are united by one immense fact; they were strong, defiant women who contradicted the social patterns by standing up in literature, exposing their feelings into paper and letting the world know how they felt, what passions they shared, and even more amazing, they let the world know that their ideas could be worth as much as any male ideas.
