Marketing Mix - The Four P's Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

There are many ways to satisfy the needs of a customer. A product could have different features, customer service levels can be adjusted after a purchase is made, and packaging, brand name, and warranty are some of the things that could also be changed. Cable television, the internet, magazines, and newspapers are all media tools that can be used to reach a target audience. Sales specialists, a company’s own sales force, would be used. The price points of products can be altered, discounts given, and so on. With so many possible variations in satisfying the needs of a customer, is there any way to simplify the selection of marketing mixes? The answer to that question is, yes. The four P’s are useful to reduce all the variables in the marketing mix to four basic ones; product, place, promotion, and price.
