Traditional vs. Year-Round Schools Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

For a number of years there has been an argument going on about what type of school system would best fit in the United States. The two main candidates are the traditional school and the year-round school. There are many problems that make it difficult to choose which type of schedule would work best for our country as a whole. A major problem for the government is the cost it takes in making one school system work versus the other. Another difficult situation is the factor of some parents wanting their child in school all the time with shorter breaks and some parents wanting their child in school to learn the things he or she needs but also being able to have a long summer break. Year-round schools are structured in a system of four tracks. A track is defined as a group of students who go to classes together and then are off at the same time when their breaks come around. If there are four tracks, then some of those children will not being going to school together but they will have friends within their track and that will answer the question of not having friends to spend......
