To what extent should people reconcile their contending nationalistic and non nationalistic loyalties?
As time has gone on people have encountered a clash between their nationalistic and non-nationalistic loyalties. It is sometimes hard to reconcile a persons nationalist and non-nationalist loyalty because some of those individual loyalties are contending with each other. Many people, and even nations, have encountered a conflict because of there contending loyalties which cannot always be chosen over the other, or accommodated too. To reduce conflict, people are trying to solve differences and come to terms with past injustices.
If you have ever become friends with some one because you think they are funny or you like them for there personality you would be considered to have a non-nationalistic loyalty to that friend, but if two separate people immigrate to Canada from the same country and become friends because of their culture and race this would be considered a nationalistic loyalty to each other and their country.
