The documentary about the Paper Dolls depicts the life of five Overseas Filipino Workers, giving services as caregivers to old people in Israel. Cheska, Sally, Jan, Giorgio and Chiqui are homosexuals who were brave enough to go out of their own country and express their real identity despite the unwelcoming reaction of some. "Half man, half woman? We don't deal with that kind of people here." One townsfolk says. People judge them as if they were the most immoral humans in the place, combining the fact that they are foreigners at the same time homosexuals.
Being homosexual is perhaps new to the Israelites because they are very religious and strict about it. "As a man, you have to act like a man, not a woman." This is the stereotype in many cultures, but how do we really act as a man or a woman?
