Illegal Street Racing Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
Before there was drag racing, there were races going on in the streets of Southern California. These races were held spontaneously when two cars would feel that a car on the same road would threaten their pride, or would be coordinated with crowds cheering and waiting to see who was the victor. Both of these types of races fall under a category called illegal street racing. Street racing comes in different forms and over the years, there have been many laws that try to crack down on the unqualified and sometimes dangerous racers that sit behind the wheels of these street racing cars. Also, there have been different groups that have come together to try and limit the amount of races there are as well as the amount of hype that goes along with winning a dangerous street race.
