Introduction A Tuesday morning on September 11, 2001, the U.S. was attacked by terrorists in New York City and Washington. Hijacked jetliners hit the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon outside Washington. Another hijacked plane crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. The hijackers of these jetliners were people of Arabian descent. These attacks of terrorism on the U.S. changed America and Americans. The research question is, has racial profiling increased since 9/11 and if it has who became the targets? The purpose of this research paper is to find out if racial profiling has increased and if certain people of a certain descent have been targeted more than others. Methodology The first step in this research paper was an in class pole/discussion on racial profiling. Then after that I completed a search on the web at yahoo.com and I tried various words with my search.
