While on the verge of becoming a woman in a world so complex, I start to contemplate and consider all consequences of the journey from adolescence to adulthood, and where I stand. Independence is a key factor that has helped shape my view on significant changes in my life. A vessel, fresh-launched, knows nothing of how the sea behaves. All that it has, and all that it learns comes from the wind and the reef and the waves John Marsden (taken from The Journey) This metaphorical statement, I believe, is one that has significant value to my adolescent life. While approaching my final completion of year 12, a sense of security is taken away, because I know that there is so much more depth in the real world, which involves independence. I see myself as a fresh vessel on her way to a new journey with the knowledge that the world is full of unexpected surprises. Some good and some bad, but in the end I know each new experience will shape and piece together an identity. My surroundings have educated me very well. Ive learnt many things about life that I wouldnt exch......
