A renowned professor Peter Figueroa created a framework in 1993 explaining the relation between sport and society and the impact they have on one another to create levels of inequity. 2 framework levels out of 3 will be thoroughly analysed through my personal beliefs and experiences to aerobics. The cultural and interpersonal aspects that impacted my participation in aerobics will be assessed before and after my 8 Week Unit. The cultural significance on sports such as aerobics determine who participates. It is important to understand the cultural history first to understand where the stereotypes originate from. In Asian countries the sole purpose of the young generation is to study academically rather than pursue sporting opportunities.
