Societies are constantly being created and destroyed under the virtuous cries of justice and equal liberties for all and often we as a people enter into these societal contracts with open minds and nothing but the best intentions. However, not only do we often fail to see our own shortcomings but we just as often fail to see the shortcomings of others that will make the society flop. Sometimes these shortcomings are imposed by the society itself, but just as often, they are ones nature has imposed and nothing that we as a people do can eliminate them. Are justice and equality for all things that can really be achieved? Or is the major democratic flaw in society our trying to achieve them? Perhaps we should really be trying to get the best we can get as opposed to obtaining a utopia.
