Squirrels, squirrels everywhere squirrels. Something must have happened to have the population boom amongst the squirrels in the Palisades Park in Los Angeles. In fact, there are so many squirrels that officials are trying to stunt the population in any way they can. Something has to be done to bring the population of squirrels back down to its normal level in the Palisades Park, or there could be drastic effects on the whole park.
According to Moe and Rink's lecture, any time there is a disruption in population, that disruption will be felt in the micro and macro parasitic realms . This disruption was probably caused by human intervention, both intentional and unintentional. People were more than likely feeding the squirrels things such as nuts to keep them around because some people view them as "cute" animals.
