Canadian Climate Science Lab Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

The purpose of this lab was to determine the effects a large body of water has on a specific areas climate and determine the effect that latitude has on climate. Prediction: I predict that Halifax will have the most precipitation because it's closest to the ocean. Belleville will have the most moderate climate because it isn't near a large body of water and it isn't located too far north. I also believe it will have the highest temperature due to its location. Equipment and Materials: * Canadian Climate Data * Graph Paper * Pen/Pencil * Ruler Procedure: 1. The data provided for all three Canadian cities was used to create graphs. 2. Included in each graph is the average precipitation and average temperature for each month. 3. The graph was made to look like the one in Figure 1 on Pg.337 of the textbook. 4. Precipitation was put on the left side of the graph, Months of the year was put on the x-axis, and temperature was put on the right side.
