Every year, four billion dollars are spent by the government to fund the biotech industry, and soon enough even more money will be spent to repair the devastating effects it will inflict on the world. It seems as if science is in over its head, and no one cares about the goodness of the natural world anymore. The biotech industry is constantly revealing new projects that seem as if they are beneficial, but no time is put into determining the consequences these creations have on our ecosystem. New genetically engineered crops and herbicides are poisoning our soil and our bodies, and the government is just now realizing this.
