As the ship started to move away Eveline loosened her grip and finally let go of the iron bars. As she made her way home, she knew that she should be thinking about what her dad would say to her coming home so late but instead she was thinking of him. “Does Frank know I didn’t get on? I wonder if he will miss me.” She kept saying things like this to herself as she walked all the way back home. As soon as she got home her dad began shouting, but she just went upstairs and into her lonely bedroom. Once again those objects she had seen before were there, and also just like before she sat next to her window and gazed out at the ship. As the ship was getting further away she started to think that she may never see her beloved Frank again and that she did want to go with him but she was just too scared in case it all went wrong or that her family couldn’t cope with-out her. Then all of a sudden it hit her. She did love Frank and she wanted to be with him. She turned her head quickly only to see the ship sail out of sight.
